About

Arthur B. Ripley

Arthur Ripley, a passionate advocate and writer, draws upon his roots in Harlem and South Jamaica, New York, to create Built on Lies, a bold look at America’s past and present.  The only male of five siblings, Arthur learned early to advocate for the voiceless, which has represented the mission of his work.

Having traversed the New York Archdiocese of Brooklyn schools and SUNY – College of New Rochelle, along with countless diverse venues, he continues on his quest as an ardent believer in truth and justice.  Built on Lies reveals the lies that began with the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade initiated by the Catholic Church’s 1455 Papal Bull and continues through political machinations accomplished by the Republican leadership today.

Arthur details how systemic racism and financial greed have torn the nation apart, and obliterated America as a leader on the world stage.  His book defines the urgency for citizens to come together with a thoughtful plan of action to confront these challenges and restore democracy.

From the hypocrisy on the face of the Declaration of Independence to political deceit today, Arthur connects for readers just how the people have been lied to countless times.  His call to action inspires his readers to engage in open forums; think courts for reparations, to address racism, and to put our country back together based on humility, kindness, and respect.  Built on Lies is nothing less than an invaluable tool in the fight against systemic racism
